Refresh Button in Kinetic System Monitor (web client)

In the Epicor Kinetic web client, the Refresh button in the overflow menu of System Monitor has been intentionally disabled by Epicor. I confirmed this with Support after noticing the behavior.

The change applies to the Active and History tabs — refreshing on those tabs was turned off because, according to Support, people were clicking the All Users option and then clicking the Active tab, which caused the refresh call to fire twice. Their fix was to disable refresh entirely in those areas. The Refresh button itself no longer does anything. Even using Clear/Reopen does not refresh — you still have to wait about 20 seconds for the system to update on its own. Epicor’s recommendation is to build a BAQ against Ice.SysTask if you want to monitor activity with a manual refresh.

Every other screen in Kinetic allows a manual refresh, so this feels like a big step backward in usability. Has anyone else run into this? Are you sticking with the 20-second delay, or have you built custom BAQs or dashboards to get around it?

Why fix the problem when you can just remove the feature?

So the good news is somebody already built a better system monitor, all you have to do is install it.

I’d like the ability to register a webhook to catch when a Task completes. That way users could be notified quickly and/or other actions could be taken.
