Nigel,
Â
The tips #1 and #2 were a big help. I modified our Exchange server setting for #2, since we are set up the same way with Exchange 2003. With that, the message would process properly via the epicor-smtp.log.txt file ... but still no message coming to me.
Â
I looked at the settings we have for tip #1 and, frankly, I chickened out. I don't consider myself an Exchange guru and the LAST thing I want is to find my Exchange server acting as a relay server for the world. I'll contact our Exchange wizards and get the appropriate settings while still being secure. But I believe I'm close as a result of these two hints.
Â
Thanks for your help.

Hi Karl,
Not my area, I'm afraid. I copied the code directly from Vantage where it worked without any messing by me on Exchange (we're on 2003). If Dale's suggestion doesn't work out, I found two suggestions on the web:
1. Under the Exchange System Manager check servers> then protocols> smtp> and properties of the default SMTP virtual server. Go to the access tab and verify that your certificate is installed for secure communication or that you're set for "Anonymous access". (We're set to anonymous access and elsewhere we specify the IP addresses that are allowed to relay).
2. Go to Exchange System Manager > Global Settings > Message Delivery (right click > Properties) > Intelligent Message Filtering.. then check the "When blocking messages", set it to No Action and see if that message goes away.. (We have the SCL rating set to 8 and "No Action").
Did you try setting the FROM address to your own email address? Just to see if it worked.
Nigel.

I independently created a silly BAM using the same TO and FROM address. The BAM sends the message to me and the 4GL BPM does not.

The email addresses in the 4GL are inside single quotes. I copied and pasted it directly from Nigel's message and then changed the addresses based on this company. I created the BPM as a pre-processing directive based on changing the PORel.UnitCost field from any to any.
