Releasing a License

Thanks, that works nice. I was hesitant to try that when it said "Shutdown
Database" and not knowing what options were beneath.

In ProMon choose option 8 then option 1 and disconnect that user.

Far too often someone unplugs a data collection PC in our shop and
Vantage/Progress does not know they logged off so thinks the Data Collection
license is still in use. We are using every one of the 10 we have so this
becomes a problem real fast. Short of kicking everyone off and shuitting
down ProService I don't know how to release just one license. I can see the
PC still logged in as a Progress user via ProMon but don't know how to
terminate it. Is this possible and how is it done?

Thanks,

If you know which license it is, can't you press 8 on the Promon menu to end a license, then type in the number that corresponds to the license you want to kill?
