When releasing an order short material using the fulfillment workbench “Reserve and Release For Picking” the material handlers can only see requests for material that is on hand. So the material handlers don’t know the order is short until an audit is performed.
Is there a way to release material we don’t have on hand into the queue so they know the order is short while picking?
Let’s imagine your picker can see that its short while picking, what are they supposed to do with that information? In other words, what are they supposed to do differently when picking short vs. picking full? You can add any data you want to a grid but . . . why?
