# Releasing Subsitute Part to a Job

<div id="ygrps-yiv-763292392">You should be able to issue the 5 IBM&#39;s to the Western Digital material<br/>
sequence with no problem.  From experience (at least on 3.0) the part number<br/>
you are issuing does not need to match the part number in the material<br/>
sequence on the job you are issuing it to.<br/>

We have released a job to build 50 computers, we purchase a Western<br/>
Digitial Drive(on the BOM), with a IBM Hard Drive as a sub. part(Not on<br/>
the BOM).   I have 45 WD Hard Drives in stock which I can release to<br/>
manufacturing, and I want to use 5 IBM Hard drive to complete this job.<br/>

How do I release them to the job??</div>

<div id="ygrps-yiv-686615254">We use Issues to Mfg. You specify the Job you want the item to go to and<br/>
then the Part No & Qty etc<br/>
