Reopening a G/L period

You are asking for trouble if you need to reopen a closed month.

I believe it is true for all versions of vantage.
In G.L. - Master File Maintenance - Fiscal Period

I wouldn't reopen a period from a closed prior fiscal year.

It's my understanding that in V5.0, it is possible to re-open a closed G/L
period. Is this true? Where is the operation? I don't see anything under
the G/L module.

In 5.1 you can re-open a closed G/L period by going to General Ledger -
Master File Maintenance - Fiscal period. Double click on the closed period
- and uncheck the closed box.
