Report Builder Physical Inventory report

That worked very well, Thanks!

Is there an 'opposite' of Previous to look at the 'Next' number? I
might be able to make it show the missing series of numbers that way.

Thanks!!
Ann

We are on Vantage 5.00.329. I have written a Report Builder report
which lists each inventory tag entered - filtered by the group. What
I have not been able to figure out is how to create a formula (or
probably an aggregate) when a tag or series of tags are missing (not
entered). I want to be able to at least flag the line above or below
the missing tag #'s - and - hopefully even report the missing tag
#s. I currently have to export to Excel and use formulas to flag
missing tag #s.

What I have done so far to try to achieve this is to do a formula:
Num(TagNum), turning the tag number into a value. I sorted and
grouped the report by Num(TagNum) and tried to make an
aggregiate 'Variance' that would realize when a number(s) was missing
from the sequence. This is where I need help please - I have not been
able to figure this out.

(I also do an exception report filtered to show Num(TagNum)=?, which
gives me tag numbers that someone entered incorrectly with a letter or
symbol in the entry. I will be able to make another exception report
using < the beginning tag# or > the ending tag# to find the remainder
of bad tag entries out of sequence. I'll just have to watch for any
entries that the tag number was entered with a preceding '0' which
would make the value different than the entry. These I think I have
under control).

I realize that Vantage offers some more advanced inventory options
such as generating tags and barcoding, however this is the way that
management wants out next inventory to be done.

Thanks in advance for all help!!

Try using the PREVIOUS() command in report builder. Example
IIF(number <> (Previous(Number) - 1),'Hey I'm missing one!','OK')
