Report Distribution Vantage 5.2

I agree with Ted. Check into distributing them with the Crystal Web
Server. It works pretty slick, espcecially if you modify an existing
report, there are no changes that need to be made to the user's work
station. Just modify the .rpt and as soon as you save it the user
will see the changes.

What do people use for report distribution with 5.2

We currently are running vantage 4 and have a lot of runtime crystal 7 reports, but in crystal 8.5 you cant make runtime files. How are other people doing this????

Crystal Decisions initially said that compiled reports would no longer be
supported. Customer backlash from this got them to update the distribution
files to work with 8.5.

Personally, I like the web stuff better. That way you don't have to grant
ODBC access to Vantage on a user by user base.
