Report help need - easy - cr

Did you try using the misc. charges? We don't do discounts very often but
when we need to we do it by entering a misc. charge on the line item for the
discount. This is the best way we have found to work around this problem.

I need the help of this group again. I think this is an easy one. I need
to add a discount line to the quote. I thought it would be as easy as
inserting a field but I do not see that as an option. Can someone please
tell me how I can do this? Vantage 5.2 Thanks.

Hi Dina,

We have discount info on our Quote form. It comes from the
quotedtl.discamt field. Being that my company took over a division
of another company, including the Vantage system, I don't know if
that is normal for the field to come down in the dbf's or not. The
previous company did not have a lot of documentation about any of
their forms they customized. I know within the Vantage data
dictionary, quotedtl has a field called discount. I imagine that's
the same field we get in our dbf. We're running 6.1 but we were
just running 5.2 in September and the discount was working then
too. We have the discount on the group line quotedtl.quoteline to
get each discount per line.

If I enter it in Vantage on that line -- I want it to appear on my Crystal
Report. I'm sure it is a field I need to add to my cr form but I can't find
it. There is a spot in Vantage to add a discount to line but I can not get
it to print. My boss does not like it as an additional line.

We've had this problem although we're on v6. The discount fields do not
come through on the dbf files. The only way around this, that Epicor
suggested, was to have a mod written at our expense. If I remember
correctly they did say it had, or would be, fixed in 6.1.

Try to add it in crystal as an odbc and link the tables together sometimes
it works and sometimes it doesn't. Epicor did I think a very poor job on
the forms implementation several of the fields are not consistent data types
:(

When I look at the data dictionary for 6.1 I see quotedtl.discount
quotedtl.docdiscount quotedtl.discountpercent
