Report quantity in MES- Epicor 904.507a

Epicor told me that if you do auto receive the qty goes to the first bin that has qty and if no qty in the system then it goes to the primary bin on the part and if not defined then it goes to the first bin for the default warehouse.

Subject: [Vantage] Report quantity in MES- Epicor 904.507a

We use MES to report quantity on the last operation of a job. This operation is
the 'final operation' and 'auto-receive' checked. How does Epicor determine
what bin to report the inventory to?

This plant has only one warehouse - this warehouse has only 2 bins. Each bin
represents a building where we report the quantity. A part can run in both
buildings and I thought we could use the bins in the resources to determine
which bin to use. Epicor support is telling me no.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Thanks.
