Looking at this report and the related RDD, I see that the BuyerID
field is not included by default. Did you duplicate the RDD and add
it in?

After adding this field (and refreshing the Crystal layout), I added
a new Parameter {?Buyer} and set the select statement to
"{POHeader.BuyerID} = {?Buyer}".

That seems to have worked - though the user will have to enter the
BuyerID, not the name.

Nigel.

I have had several requests for additional filter functions on these
types of reports. The one that i most recently got was to add a buyer
filter to the Open Purchase Orders report.

I can recreate the report, but it sure would be easier and nicer for
the users to add a tab to the filters for this report.

Can it be done?
This may not be what you're looking for, but you could add a
Parameter to the Crystal Report asking for the additional filter.

If you make it a dynamic parameter, you could even display a list of
Buysers so the user can select the correct one, instead of them
entering the buyer code.

Nigel.

That would work, except they don't always wanna filter using the buyer, just
sometimes.

Well I talked to the person that wanted this and they said your suggestion
would be ok. I tried it and it only works if you select all the buyers and
sort by supplier? Do you know why this would be?
