Requisition Entry - Close Process

In Requisition Entry we have 100’s of Open Req’s going back to 2016. I am not at all familiar with this process, but it seems to me that when the requisition is converted to a PO, shouldn’t it automatically close the requisition?
(Epicor seems a little short on good documentation for this process)

Does the Buyer, who creates the PO, actually have to manually do an Actions>Close Requisition?

Once all of the lines on the requisition are closed (ReqDetail_OpenLine = False) it should close the requisition (ReqHead_OpenReq = False). This should be automatic when all lines on the req are converted to a PO or voided. That is the behavior we are seeing at least.

The flip side is that if the buyers are MANUALLY creating the PO and NOT using the suggestion, the Requisition never gets fulfilled. Check the Buyer’s process.

Sorry for the late response. The issue is that the buyers are manually creating PO’s/PO Lines. The root cause of that appears to be if part classes don’t exist for a part or unapproved suppliers are used for a part the buyers are manually creating a different PO or PO Line.

Thanks for the help.
