To best use Work Queue through MES, we want to assign a Resource Group to the employees who will use. This creates a resource for them automatically.
Can I safely assign that same Resource for all employees who will use that Resource Group?
We don’t want to track or schedule an employee as a resource at this time, I’d leave Finite unticked and standard 8hr/M-F calendar for the one generic Employee resource.
Are there other concerns I should think about?
Or is there better way to just have the person associated to a Resource group and when clocking in to MES, clicking Work Queue, the queue list is already loaded with that associated Resource group jobs?

The shop users don’t have their own Epicor or Windows user accounts.
They do have their own Employee ID.
MES is opened with a generic Epicor account (Data01, Data02, etc) and then users clock/log with their Employee ID.
In your situation, this is what I would do. Assuming you have machines as resources.
Create a RG called Employees and add all of the employees to that one. Don’t assign the RG or Resources to any operations. Instead, keep on using your machine resources as the scheduling requirement. Instruct your employees to log into DC and pull up the RG of the machines that they will be working on in the Work Queue.
You can make sure the departments are set correctly on the Resource Groups and the Employees and it will should get you half way there in the Work Queue at least.
