We have many parts in inventory which can have multiple revisions and
are sold or reworked. We needed a way to easily identify a revision
of the part in stock. We made a decision on go-live two years ago to
use the lot tracking feature for revision control. So essentially we
use the revision of the part for the lot number when it comes into
inventory. Now, we want to move to using lot control for what it was
designed, tracking lots. I was wondering if anybody out there works
in a similiar environment of maintaining multiple revs in inventory
and how you deal with it.
