Rework of Serialized Part Numbers

I'm trying to follow your directions:
1) Create job to produce part "1234"
2) material for Job = "1234"
3) Issue material to job (including actual serial number in this case "013" is the serial number)
4) open serial number maintenance for part 1234, serial number "013", and change job/asm/seq for material from xxxx/0/10 to xxxx/0/0...

I must be doing it wrong because all I get is "Invalid Material Sequence"

I have 4 pcs in stock with serial numbers that were machined to Rev C of the drawing.

I need to issue a Job to do further machining to convert them to Rev D of the same drawing.

I want to end up with these parts being the same Part Number and the same Serial Numbers when I am done.

Anybody know how to do this using Epicor 905 ???

Can't you add the Rev C parts as material to the rework job to make the Rev D part?

Yes part 1234, Rev C as material, Rev D as job output.
However, when completing the Job Epicor will not allow me to use the same Serial Numbers for the Rev D parts. It seems to insist on giving them new serial numbers.
