# RFQ's for purchase to stock suggestions

When I'm going through New PO Suggestions and check the RFQ box instead of the Buy checkbox it works fine as long as the suggestion is to purchase to a job. However, if the suggestion is to purchase to stock (eg: below minimum) I get the following error message:

Business Layer Exception
Suggestions cannot be flagged for RFQ without a related Job or a valid Requisition for Inventory/Other.
Exception caught in:Epicor.ServiceModel

Epicor tells me this is as designed (??) which makes no sense to me and references SCR 88916.
