Hi,

We try to use QA and RMA.
Here the questions.

- How to dispose the return parts if the problem unfixable (how to
report scrap)?
- How to dispose to a job if the parts are able to be fixed?

Thanks,
Drop me an email if you still need this information.

I didn't see a response so here goes:

RMA works well with a new line item created on a sales order for the amount
returned so you can ship the parts back out. If your customer gives you a
new PO number for the returned parts you will have to create a new sales
order. Depending on your type of business you may want to just scrap the
parts and let the blanket releases absorb the bad product. Anyway:

>>>>- How to dispose the return parts if the problem unfixable (how to
report scrap)?
RMA Line Receipt Tab - Brings parts into inspection processing.
RMA-INS
Inspection Processing - RMA TAB - accepts parts into inventory.
INS-STK
NonConformace Entry - Add Inventory - pulls parts from stock.
STK-INS
Inspection Processing - Inventory Tab - Fails Parts to DMR. INS-DMR
DMR Processing - Reject Button. Remove parts from system. DMR-REJ

(Create a report to list all DMR-REJ part transactions for a list of
scrap.)

>>>>- How to dispose to a job if the parts are able to be fixed?
We use same as above.
Then Create a "R" prefix job and post an adjustment for cost and qty
to rework parts.

Pending on your costing method, etc.. You may want to just put the
parts in stock then issue them to the job.

Hope this helps.
