Hello,
I have come across an unusual issue. We have added a duplicate role rate against one of our roles The contain the same start date, time type and have no expiry date. The only difference are their charge rate. Once the rate is saved you can ONLY change the rate and no other field.
I went to go and delete one of the rates and got a message "Role Code is in use Role Rates Cannot be deleted"
We have numerous projects and employees that use this role, and the thought of having to attempt to update each one to stop using the Role Code and then delete the incorrect rate would be rather laborious (pardon the pun) if at all possible.
Does anyone know if this is behavior as designed or a plain old undocumented feature (AKA Bug).
We are trying to work through the process of performing a rate change on labor charges which we would do annually.
Currently we have been suggested to update the individual role rate at the employee level to achieve this. I am thinking either an Updatable BAQ or a DMT template (I don't think there is one for role rates) would be preferable than attempting to maintain a volume of employee role rates one at a time.
Any suggestions appreciated.
