Roles & Tasks

Hi All,

Does anyone know why a user would be able to complete a quote task even if they don’t have the correct role assigned?

For example, I’m using my own user ID with a sales manager role, and I have a test user with a sales representative role. I’ve been doing some testing for a quote approval process. There are no customizations.

I have 3 tasks within a task set. The first task requires a sales rep role, the second and third require a sales manager role. When creating the quote with the test user (sales rep role) I was able to complete all 3 tasks.

The test user is assigned the correct role in Work Force. All 3 tasks are mandatory. The task set is as follows

  1. Quote customer - First Milestone
  2. Quote Review - Next Milestone
  3. Quote Approval - Next Milestone, Win/Loss Allowed
