I’m trying to set a field in Part Entry when the user creates a new part number.
Normally, I would do this with a BPM but, in this case, the value of the field is dependent on the user’s response to a question so I am trying to achieve this in a UI customization.
I thought that I could achieve this by triggering my code in the AfterAdapterMethod on the GetNewPart method but I’m finding that the dataView does not contain any rows at this point.
It looks like the dataView doesn’t have the new row until the EpiViewNotification is triggered, which is after the AfterAdapterMethod.
As for the actual solution, I’ve taken a different approach to make this work but my question is, how do others address this issue where the dataView doesn’t have the row you need in the after adapter method?
