Running an .exe from the menu structure

I just tested this on 8.03.405a.
I was able through menu maintenance to add an exe (notepad.exe) to the
menu structure. When adding the menu item choose outside process and
find the exe and then test. Save and log out and back into Vantage and
it works fine for me. Can you give more detail about the error or the
process you are using to put the exe on the menu?

I have set up the menu item and pointed it at the correct .exe file but
it erros out. I'm guessing there is something I'm missing.

I figured it would be as simple as adding the path to the .exe file
because when I add a shortcut on the shortcut menu it works perfectly.

Im running Vantage 8.03.

Does anyone have any ideas how to do this.
