Running MRP with users in the system

If you turn the MRP log on, and say you call it "mrp" under user Manager, you'll see file:

\\your-server\e$\Epicor\EpicorData\Live\Reports\Manager\mrp001.txt

Look for lines like the following:

20:13:12 Copying BOM from Part:7214324900 Rev: to Job:MRP00000000068.
20:13:12 Type:3Program:mr/cpmethod.pMethod:Copy methods from BOMTable:PartRevField:Rowid:Message:A valid Source Method is required.
20:13:12 Error copying BOM, deleting Job:MRP00000000068.

Can anyone tell me if there is any impact of files being in use while the MRP is run? I've been told that one of our latest MRP runs failed to generate jobs for a particular assy but later didn't have any problems.

Does it matter if we run net change or regen?

Thanks in advance.
