Sage Abra vs Vantage compatibility

Turned out to not be related to Vantage at all...I don't think. Don't
ya love it when the problem just goes away and you don't know what
caused it? A reinstall of the Abra client seemed to fix it.

I'm just grasping at straws here...

Has anyone had any compatibility issues between Vantage 8 and Sage
Abra (payroll software) on the client PCs? I'm investigating an issue
now that *might* have something to do with the version of Crystal
Reports Runtime installed with the Vantage client. Sage Abra uses
Crystal Reports 8.5 and Crystal Runtime 11 was installed for Vantage.

We have seen this with Sage Fixed Assets. But then we are still using CR 8.5 so usually all it takes is to re-install the Vantage client and/or copy over CR related DLL files from the Vantage server. I'm not sure how it would be handled with the mixed CR versions. But there is definitely a conflict potential with Sage's reporting system. Perhaps web search for advice on running multiple verions of CR on the same PC.

We just went to Sage Fixed Assets as well and experienced reporting
problems in Vantage. For our solution we just installed Sage in a
virtual console. Easy to deploy and no compatibility problems.
