Hi,

our company is looking at how we can use Vantage to assist in setting
and tracking Sales Budget. we currently use a complax spreadsheet
that list all our products for the sales team to enter their annual
budget, which is messy and time consuming.

the plan is for Vantage to use crystal report to extract previous 12
months actual into excel, and use this information to generate a 12
months budget. this should then be imported back into Vantage, so the
system can report on budgeted sales/cost figures for the Financial
Budget which is held offline in Sage Winforecast.

anyone has idea how this can be achieved, or is there a much easier
way to do this? any advice would be much appreciated

I also have an interest in being able to record sales budget and
sales performance data. We currently run Vantage ver: 8.03.305K. I am
not aware of the Activeplanner - could you tell me what this is
please ?

Thank you...

Anthony-

We wanted to have the same type of thing, but our Business
Development department would not want to use a computer-generated
forecast. So our situation is a little different. The BD Dept
generates an excel spreadsheet with their forecast. I found that
within a Crystal Report, I could link to that spreadsheet and use
that information. Then I also link to the Bookdtl table. From those
two sources I can show the Quarterly forecast, actual, and delta for
each product group. I don't know if that helps your particular
situation.
