I have been asked to see if we can make “Sales Category” in the Line Details for a Sales Order changeable so that we can get the order started but get the paperwork right for the GL Accounts after the fact. I would love to have it be set up for a user to change it at any point during the process if possible.
My knowledge is very limited, so i am sorry if that doesn’t make sense.
I’m assuming you are tying to change it once the SO is marked as shipped?
If that is the case there is no quick fix to update the record. You have to unship the pack, update SO and then ship again.
Thank you all for the replies. So it turns out that the edits my company wanted was to change Sales Order Category after shipping, so we can have it go to the correct GL accounts…was easier than i made it out to be. I was able to simple re-open the sales order, go to the line, reopen the line, and change the category, save and close the line, and then save and close the sales order.
Sorry for the confusion, still trying to figure all of this out.
