I'm sorry Judy I don't know what options you have left since the pack slip
was deleted.

Good Luck

We're in 3.0...there was never an invoice done, only a Packing Slip
and the packing slip has been deleted. It did not return the
quantity to the line because the packing slip wasn't deleted until
the line item has already closed. Any ideas?

Sincerely,
Judy Havlik

In V4.0 you can re-open a line by selecting line, re-open.

In V3.0 the only way to do it is to delete the invoice that closed the line.
HOWEVER, if the invoice group is already posted, you are out of luck. Once
that invoice is posted, it is set in stone.

Sorry,

Lydia

I'm sorry that last message I sent should be to Judy not Lydia.
If that doesn't work you can also re-open through customer shipment by going
into the last item shipped by the pack slip number, double click on the line
and uncheck shipped complete.

Hope this helps.

Oh, oops...the pack slip is what you have to delete or unclick shipped
complete...but the thing about the invoice still holds true-in V3.

Judy,

Try entering a packing slip for that Sales Order and Line Item. The line
will not appear when you search but it should come up if you type it in and
ask if you are sure you want to use this line because it is already closed.
Enter a quantity of 1 and say ok. Then deleted the line and packing slip. I
don't know it this will work or not. I know it will reopen the line but I
don't know what will happen after deleting the packing slip. HTH.
