SalesForce.com vs. Vantage CRM

Bruce,

I have done some research on this over the last 6 months or so. Last year we tried to use the Vantage CRM package in conjunction with Infoworker for our remote sales people. There were some bugs that prevented us from going live. Instead, we went with Salesforce and everyone seems to be happy.

The next step is to integrate SF with Vantage/E9. I spoke with Vivian Keena with Alternative Technology Partners. (You may recongnize the name because she use to work for Epicor). Her company has developed a bridge between SF and Vantage. I'm not sure about pricing. Another option is Dell Integrated Services. I spoke with them a couple of months ago. They also have a tool that bridges Salesforce and Vantage together. They charge a flat rate of $10k.

We are looking to implement a CRM package for the primary purpose of
tracking our Sales Pipeline with an external distributorship. This will
be a key tool for developing higher quality production forecasts. The
big picture includes incorporation of the Product Configurator, but is a
ways out. Initially we would like to capture a simple one liner showing
machine quoting trends.

Is anybody working with an external distributorship using SalesForce.com
as their primary pipeline visibility package?

- What do/ don't you like?

- Were you able to integrate into Vantage?

- How active is your distributorship in its usage?

Anybody working with an external distributorship using Vantage CRM as
their primary pipeline visibility package?

- What do / don't you like?

- How active is your distributorship in its usage?

Has anybody been through this review process who has some key insights
to share?

Thank you,

Bruce Butler
