We are quoting a customer that has a PN that is a final assy of 10061 with UOM EA. How would one handle this? This is the first time this has happened to us. --- ## Post #2 by @rbucek Nice!! We've waited for years for this to happen to us, but no luck so far. You win! Have you looked at using a cross reference part number? Create a customer part# and your own unique internal part # that's either similar or completely unrelated and associate the two. --- ## Post #3 by @bderuvo Can you use customer part number on the sales order? Get Outlook for iOS --- ## Post #4 by @Jim_Lutz Really, nobody should use their customers' part numbers for their own internal part numbers for this very reason. My company has had that issue as well. Assign an internal part number instead of using the customer's part number, then assign their number as a cross-reference. When entering the customer's part number for the order, the internal part number will automatically be cross-referenced. If two customers have the same part number (or suppliers as well), whoever is entering the order will have a screen pop up to choose which one to use. I don't know why, considering the context of the customer has already been given, but that's the way it is. --- **Canonical:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/same-pn-different-uom/35800 **Original content:** https://www.epiusers.help/t/same-pn-different-uom/35800
