SC Poster smtp email to include an attachment

Thanks. Though not ideal, it does meet my needs since they will have access to the file share. Much appreciated.

I have 2 Posters, one which generates an error log(.txt) to a file location and another poster which sends a SMTP email. I cannot find anyway to include this log file as an attachment in the email.

There is something in the Email Template that has a check box -- "Attach outgoing message" but if this checked, then it just sends a file which contains gibberish.

Is it possible to use a Poster(SMTP email) and include an attachment?
I don't think it is gibberish sent, it is just XML from your last xsd from what I recall...I usually include a hyperlink in the email to the file location.

You're right, the outgoing attachment is just an XML schema from the xsd selected. It is not very useful nonetheless.

Do you know the syntax to make the file path a clickable hyperlink?
I had set the Email Template as "HTML", but the shared file location path just shows as text not a hyperlink. Thks.

For me, I just build the hyperlink by using static server name share , links to file name from process variables, static other portions...

For example, \\server\ESC\customername_staticfilenamepart.xls
I right click in the body of the email and choose "insert simple link" to add the process variables. Make sure you have no spaces, use underscores or something similar if needed.
