To determine the degree of fragmentation for tables in a database, use the PROGRESS Utilities (PROUTIL) utility with the TABANALYS qualifier:
proutil db-name -C tabanalys
You can run PROUTIL with the TABANALYS qualifier while the database is in use; however, PROGRESS generates only approximate information.
