Scheduled machine maintenance

Hi,

I would go with clints number two suggestion. However, this does
depend on what exactly you want to do. This gives the most
flexibility, as you could incorporate the maintenance checks into
the traveller.

Two points though, if you book against this job then this cost will
go into wip. Secondly, if you running any batch scheduling processes
then you need give the job the highest priority and locked. This is
to ensure the job doesn't get moved by Vantage.

What would be a good way to schedule machine maintenance within
Vantage so that it can have a scheduled date on a RB report just like
any other work center/operation?

In Vntg Version 6.1.

In the Work Center Maintenance menu you can select the Machines>> tab and enter the next scheduled maintenance date,

or you could create a job with an op to perform maintenance for each desired machine and input estimated hrs.

or the Production Calendar for the machine/Work Center could be modified so that the machine/Work center would be unavailable for a period of time.
