Shop Capacity is used by the Global Reschedule. The visibility is really just used in the Overload informer, which is pretty much useless because the ShopLoad data in not accurate.

Learned something new, created new questions...
We ran the Generate Shop Capacity Process from the Utilities menu. I now have information in the plant and resource graphs that I don't know how to analyze. However, it did nothing for the scheduling.
Since we only wanted overtime for 6 weeks, I had toggled 6 non-working Saturdays to working. I noticed that the yearly calendar appeared to have ALL Saturdays as working days so I took my toggle off and reran the scheduler. Everthing appears correct - except that we are now working Saturdays indefinitely. OK, I can deal.
So, is it possible to schedule just 6 weeks of Saturday and what do I do with these graphs I now have populated?

I ran Global Scheduling and capacity did not increase. I deleted the calendars from the resources, readded them and 1 of the 4 scheduled correctly. The next day only 1 scheduled correctly, but it was a different one. Today, it occured to me that I had locked jobs so I unlocked everything on the 4 resources and ran Global Scheduling again. Now I have 1 resource working this Saturday, 1 working next Saturday, 1 working no Saturdays and 1 working this and next Saturday!
