I have been trying to fathom as to how the epicor scheduling logic is scheduling a couple of jobs that I have set up in our pilot arena.
I have 2 jobs that I created on the fly with are verbatim to each other. I have just 1 operation attached, and that operation has a resource group comprising of 2 resources. Job A will ‘ALWAYS’ split the job amongst the 2 resources. For example a 5 hour operation is split 2.5hours for each resource. This is the desired outcome and we used scheudling blocks to acheive this.
We have since created job B which when scheduled only uses one resource and allots that resource the full 5 hours. Job B is set up exactly the same and even if we scheduled this job before job A the same resource allotment takes place.
To test we then created a 3rd job and this seemed to follow the same logic as job B. We cano only get job A to split the operations as we want, but all subsequent jobs will not split the operation. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to whats going on?
