Scheduling Blocks & Resources

When something is scheduled to a Resource Group it looks like it schedules to resources within the group in order based on alphabetical order by Resource Description.

Not sure if that's something that can be manipulated as a practical matter. I don't see where the 'Scheduling Code' and 'Priority Factor' would be any help as that's for competing Jobs not Resources. I'd be interested to see if there actually is a way to do that.

The only other thing I can think of might involve Job Splitting but I have not used that enough to say one way or the other.

Hi,

We have our Engineering staff set up as resources within an Engineering
resource group, but up until now have only used the total capacity to
schedule work through the department.

What we are now looking to do is schedule work to individual resources,
however in reality we often split work between multiple Engineers to reduce
lead time.

I can see that within an operation I can use scheduling blocks to split the
work up, however I can't seem to modify the resources that Epicor selects
within a resource group. For example, I want the work split between Tom,
John and Rob however it automatically selects Tom, Peter and James.

Is there a way to select what resources I want?

Thanks,

Darryn
