Hi everyone, I am trying to figure out if I can schedule move times only when a job moves between different departments.
We have our resource groups setup in departments. Sometimes the resource groups are all in the same department, so there is no move time. Other times, a job might move from the lathe department to the milling department, for example. In that case I want to add some move time. If the job stays in the milling department, but switches between 4 different resource groups, then there is no need to keep adding on that move time.
It seems like when I use move/queue time the time gets added to every operation that resource group is used for.
I really only want to add the time if a job is moving between departments. Based on what I have seen, I think this may need to be a custom approach.
Has anyone else tackled this? I bet the APS module would solve this conundrum too, right?
