Scheduling Report to run automatically over-night in E10

I have accomplished this on E-9 and Vantage… quite easily… wazup with E-10?
Step 1) Create a scheduler entry for 4:00 AM call it morning reports.
2) Go to users desk & input a report request being logged on as them, scheduled per 4:00AM
EX: AP aging Report or AR Aging report
It is set to run ‘dynamic’ aligned to the 4:00AM scheduler as well as “recurring”
archive period 1 day
SYS AGENT shows the TASK in the TASK List per this schedule entry
3) Sys Monitor shows the task executed at 4:00AM
4) expectation is that when user arrives at 8:00AM… they log on to EPICOR…
and the report magically displays (since it was executed under their log-on)
What am I missing???

@jadecorp, that should all work the same as before, no issue there…

What you described should work and has worked that way for many years. Does the report show that it ran? Do you see the “Report” available under the Reports tab in Sys Monitor?

PS: @aidacra may not specifically see this post, try entering a ticket in EpicCare if you want Epicor support directly  this isn’t an official forum though a few Epicor folks do hang out here. I’ve adjusted the title of your post from
“Hey Nathan…Question?”…
to a more searchable topic for future folks that may have similar issues.

Thanks!

What @josecgomez asked  What behavior are you actually seeing?

It appears the system had to be re-started… as I did get SUNDAY and MONDAY output!
Weird… I initiated the set-up to execute for the first time last Wednesday for 10:00 AM …no output for Wed-thru-Sat.

I can only presume our network/server folks who also monitor/attend to E-10 (and have been dealing with some comm-line issues) may have re-started.

Would the Task Agent need to be re-started to pick-up a new scheduled entry and/or the tasks???

Task Agent doesn’t need a restart to pick up changes like that. Something else was going on that had Task Agent locked. Do you have Async tasks setup at all? There is a bug in 10 that will crash the whole task agent when emails are sent from async code.

Nathan, I know this is an old thread, but we’re having issues with running scheduled reports, even with a session running as the same user ID(manager). Scheduled task shows in History, but no Report entry and no print. I have an open case(CS0001583619) for this issue. Is there something we’re missing that needs set, outside of the suggestion in the case?

Have you set the archive period to more than 0.

Yes, using at least a week. The jobs in question are running as repeating jobs on a daily schedule.
