Search a part in PartTracker using the XRef id gives error

Hello,

When I search a part in Part Tracker (or even Part entry it is the same) using the XRef of the customer, it gives me an error " The selected part does not exists"

I search the same way another from the same customer, and I get the correct result. Both are setup for the same plant. The XRef config are the same. I cannot find a reason why this is happening…it seems to happen only for that part… Must be a config issue somewhere…

Anyone would have any thoughts of where I can find why this is happening?

You’ll find your answer in the solution of this post. Summary, that functionality was removed in 10.1.

Also, if you’re getting some parts to come back successfully, then they must be actual parts setup in Part Maintenance I’m thinking. We are also on 10.2.300.11 and I’ve only seen Part Tracker and Part Maintenance return real parts, not x-refs.
