Sent Parameters from a Built-in Report

Thank you guys for your answers, I appreciate it a lot. I think for now I will go with a new report style but its a great thing to know about crystal parameter. The reason is because the users will yell at me for given them more things to click  .

Thanks again.

Hi All,

Its there a way to pass new parameters to a Crystal report from a built-in report?

I want to send a few parameters from the Job traveler to my crystal report.

Could someone point me in the right direction or if this could be done?

Regards,

Go into customization mode and see if the ReportParam table has any CharXX fields available (most do), you can the use that.

In a few cases when I couldn't get the right filter on the report form...
I have added parameters right into the Crystal Report
The Crystal parameter sheet will pop up after the initial XML is generated.
Kind of funky but it works....

It helps with the “funky” to put a False report option in BAQ Report Designer and under the description say “Press Print Preview” or “Crystal Filters” to let the users know there are Crystal Filters also.
