Anyone run into this before!? We prepend the YEAR and MONTH to the front of this serial mask, so we thought we’d be able to just loop back around to 00000 for the Mask Sequence, but Epicor doesn’t like that and we can’t modify the mask now it seems and we are dead stopped on production!
After resetting that to 00000:

When this happened to us, we just created a new Mask and used DMT to update all the parts that had the old Mask. The new mask counter will begin at zero.

Thanks much @Mark_Wonsil - I was afraid that was the answer, but also really comforting to hear that you can do that and it doesn’t blow up in your face, at least confirmation it is the right direction!
@Mark_Wonsil - for the new mask did you have to increase the number of digits, or just the fact that the mask differs makes Epicor happy?
(To be clear, we’re not talking about creating duplicate serial numers, the first part of the mask is YYYYMM so that keeps the 5 digits at the end from being duplicated - we only need about 15,000 a year)
New mask, new counter so you can keep the same number of digits. We were doing the same with the YYMM.
Thanks much Mark, we’re back in business - for probably another 6 years at least. Maybe I should put together a team to determine if we can’t add an extra digit to our serial numbers.
