Hello Everyone,

I have an issue with serial number setup I have a mask to auto generate the serial number but the letters are excluded from the sequencing. I want to know if anyone has created a BPM or other logic to apply the sequencing properly.

I have serial number mask of ABCD1234 and it currently stops at ABCD9999, instead of generating ABCE0000 and continuing the sequence.

Thanks in Advance.

We have the same scenario. I played around with BPMs/customization and found it to be more of a hassle than just creating a new mask every year or two with the updated parameters (in your case prefix of ABCE). Then I marked the old one as inactive and had to send out a memo to Engineering to make sure to use the correct one (I think I also put in the description to Use one and to not use the other).

I’m curious to hear if anyone else has overcome this in a more thoughtful way.
