Hi,
I can’t think of any other way of recording the serial numbers used in single unit (not the same part), other than creating jobs in runs of one.
Has anyone else come up with a way of recording this.
Thanks,
Andrew.

I believe that option is called “Low Level Serial Tracking” and can be enabled in Site Configuration.
If I recall correctly, it’s one of those settings you really want to have turned on before go-live. Changing the setting after that point requires you to adjust out and unwind basically every serialized object (inventory, job, DMR, etc.) in the system, changing the dropdown, then wind everything back up. Doable in a day with some good scripts, DMT imports, and nobody messing with anything while it’s in WIP.
Good news is that this weekend is a long weekend with a federal holiday. ![]()
EDIT: More good news: It looks like you don’t have to close jobs and DMR, but you do have to zero out serialized inventory.
There is the Serial Matching command.

Thankyou - its a long time ago since I created a site.
Fortunately, this is a new company creation.
