FYI this is 100% me complaining, but like wtf. I think it encapsulates a lot of our complaints about how you can perfectly describe a problem and get the most ridiculous response.

A user came to me earlier because the Contract PO field on a dashboard that we’ve had for a long time was blank. As I’m digging into it I realize that it is for sure blank. The reason it’s blank is because the field format for a bunch of the fields in PartSchedVendPO are blank!
I’m not sure when or why this happened, but even data dictionary viewer shows them as blank.
I wrote a BAQ for the entire PartSchedVendPO table and exported it to excel. The data shows up fine there, but in Epicor it doesn’t!
Is there a way to fix this?


Notice how I said that the field format in data dictionary viewer even shows blank, and that I wrote a baq for the entire table and the data is blank. I even sent them a screenshot of data dictionary viewer.

What dashboard was this issue noticed on? Is it a custom dashboard?

Can the issue be seen in any other modules with these fields?


YES IT’S A CUSTOM DASHBOARD AND YES IT CAN BE SEEN IN OTHER MODULES!!! LIKE IN BAQ AND DATA DICTIONARY! DID YOU EVEN READ THE TICKET?

Par for the course.

You could immediately close that ticket with a bad review. Someone will usually get back to you soon. You might also get a better tech on reopening the ticket. Sending a message to support is like dealing with a chatbot before the dawn of LLMs.

I had one yesterday that clearly stated the issue was in a certain part of the process. The response I got was trying to resolve a problem that I was not having earlier in the process. Closed that pretty quickly.
