Service Connect - Delete field data

I figured it out.

Need to set the row mod to "[Clear=ShortChar01]" and then leave that
field blank on the spreadsheet.

I would set literal value on the field and in the value box select the
force null value checkbox

Does anyone have a way in service connect to delete data in a field?
Let's say that I want to delete the contents of ShortChar02 in my
customer table. Does anyone have a clue as to how to do that?

Q: How do I delete a row from an object (dataset)? If I delete it in my client application it

A: The Update method has logic to support instructional processing tags which can be
passed in the RowMod column of a data row.
Supported tags are:
[Delete] - indicates the row is to be deleted
[Clear=colName, colName, ...] - indicates that you want to
clear the value of the specified column/columns. Columns
names are passed as a comma separated list.
Note that you still would need to null out the actual data
value in the column even if you specify it in the Clear tag.

This is where the developer guide lost me. On page 32 of the doc, it
says that only A,U,D,blank are valid entries for row mod. But on page
30, it says I can use either [Delete] or Clear=colName,colName,...].

So I need to enter [Clear=ShortChar02] in the row mod, and then type
NULL in the CSV file for that column?
