You are probably not doing anything wrong….when it says group is in use, it usually means that someone has opened that group in Epicor itself at the time you are trying to run the workflow….more than likely. I’d talk to the accountant on the timing of running the workflow.

Subject: [Vantage] Service Connect-Group is in use
I am trying to set up a workflow in Service Connect so I can load journal entries from a spreadsheet. I have used the methods GLJrnGrp.GetNewGLJrnGrp, CheckFiscalYear and then UpdateExt. At the UpdateExt method, I am getting an error message that says "the Group is in use by and may not be selected".
I have set the IsLcked to false, thinking that may be the answer, but that doesn't seem to have helped. I also saw a method called GLJrnGrp.UnlockGroup, but when I tried that, it came back with "Invalid Group". I placed it just before the UpdateExt when I added it to my workflow.
Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Paula
