Thanks Kevin but I was able to get it to work in Service Connect.

Blake,
This maybe isn't the answer you're looking for, but is a workaround:
1. In your Service Connect workflow, set the field to "DELETE".
2. Set up a BPM with a condition of field = DELETE, and an action to
set the field to "".
It may not be the "by the book" way of dealing with it, but you'll have
it
fixed in 10 minutes.
I've gotten that clear to work in the past, but I remember it was a
pain.
It's probably been two years, so I don't recall exactly how I did it.
HTH,
Kevin

I've tried [Clear=SearchWord] or [Clear=colSearchWord] or
Clear=SearchWord... none of them worked.

Make sure you clear the field and in the RowMod use [Clear=colName]
where colName is the field you want to clear out - you can clear
multiple columns by using a comma after each colName - I do believe the
braces are required....
