Hi All,

How does everyone set up Ship Via codes in Vantage? Are there any industry
standard codes that would be advantageous to use (possibly for interfacing
with EDI?) Or do you just make 'em up?

-Thanks,
Wayne Cox
Wayne,

We ended up with the "just make 'em up" solution because Vantage does not
allow enough characters to match the 'UPS Worldship' shipping program. (In
our case, we then had to add a secondary translation table to convert the
Ship Via codes to match the UPS Worldship class of service [Next day, Second
Day, ... etc.]) Don't know about EDI!

There are industry standard SAC codes that will work in Vantage. Your
freight carriers can provide you with the codes

Ah yeah, that's what I was remembering; Thanks! Been 10 years and 2 jobs
ago...

Does anyone have a comprehensive list of those available, or know of one on
the 'net? Search engine didn't turn up any. (not even any offers to sell
the list at an absurd price, like we had to do back when.)
