Ship Via list too long v9.05.600c

Keith,

Thanks and sorry for the delay in my response. I recall a FOB field as far back as V6. So I'm not sure how this helps since we have always only put only Destination or Origin in FOB. Are you putting more in this field such as Prepaid and Add, Freight Collect, No Charge, etc.?

Also, some accounts use their Fed-X or UPS #. Do you put these in as user defined fields for the aid of shipping?

At my previous Epicor (Vantage) position, we had dozens of Ship Vias because of the several variations in Ground, Next Day 8am, 10am, afternoon, etc.

In addition, we had to tell shipping whether it was freight collect, prepaid and add, or COD. As a result, they created Ship Vias for every possibility such as:
UPS Ground PPA
UPS Ground F/C
UPS Groumd COD

The result was a long list that sales had to choose from.

I am considering dropping the PPA, F/C, and COD and making them a separate field.

Has anybody else had this problem and do you have a creative solution?

Thanks in advance.

In V9 the addition of an 'FOB" field takes care of this. When we were pre-V9 we used a VB field for the shipping terms.
