Shipment from non-existing bin

Thanks all.

Epicor sent a utility program which changes any Parts that have
1. Lot tracking activated
2. Have a blank lot reference.

The utility adds "UNKNOWN LOT" to the lot reference of those parts and allows you to zero out the eroneous bin quantity.

Vladimir,
I was wondering if you found a solution to your problem with a
negative onhand in a nonexistant bin. We just came across the same
situation (Vantage 3.0). Could you share what you did to fix this?

This is a situation:

When shipping parts, shipper did not specify Bin number. I do not
understand how Vantage allowed this to happen, but, anyway, now I have
negative quantity associated with non-existing bin. This quantity is added
to (actually, "subtracted from" since it's negative) existing quantity on
hand, returning wrong number. I cannot adjust the quantity because the bin
does not exist.

Do you have any idea how to fix the situation?

We've actually had this as well, where a part was
in inventory, but didn't have a bin. If you call
Vantage support, they have a utility that will go through
all inventory, and fix the problem. It was a while ago,
and I don't remember exactly what the fix was, but
it did clear the problem. Good luck.

In v4 you run database conversion 5030. That is if I understand
your problem.
