Shipment Status

Some are from stock, some are from WIP. They could all be shipped from
stock.

Todd-

Are all the parts shipped from inventory? Or are some shipped directly
from
WIP?

I have an issue with an offsite warehouse where we are "losing" inventory
temporarily while it is in transit. This happened in January at month end
and made our materials consumed appear high resulting in an artificially
deflated profit. I would like to create a report that can be run in our
accounting department at month end that would list such shipments. We
currently enter Sales Orders for our regional warehouses with $0 value. When
we have orders enough to fill a semi, we ship the truck load. To create the
necessary paperwork and to conform to our internal procedures we create a
pack slip and BOL and ship the stock like any other order. This obviously
removes it from inventory/WIP. When it arrives at the warehouse our
warehouse clerk QTY-ADJ it into their warehouse. This time between shipment
and quantity adjust is the "limbo" time that was left un accounted for. Two
quick questions:

1. Is there a better way to handle this transaction? We have tried to do via
transfer but that created too many places along the way for our people to
stumble and lose track of items. And we have spoke with Epicor about the
Multi Site module but I cannot justify it's cost for this minimal use and
they are unwilling to budge.

2. I would like suggestions on how I can create a report that would show the
warehouse orders that have shipped but not yet been adjusted in and the
value of those "in transit" items. I have been unable to come up with a way
to do that.
