ShipMisc table and Customer Shipping Interface

In 6.1 ShipMisc holds the misc shipping charge, based on packing slip number.
I needed to specify which 'company' my new record 'belonged' to, now everything works fine.

We're on Vantage 6.11.
I'm writing, in vb 6.0, a short routine that gathers shipping data form a UPS WorldShip 9.0 'mapping' , using Access as an intermediate table, and 'updating' the record in the ShipHead table , based on Packing Slip number-specifically I'm adding the Tracking Number. ( all done thru ODBC-merant Driver)

I'm also creating the record in ShipMisc table, based on packing slip number , to insert the MiscAmt, MiscCode 'data' - exported also from Worldship. I can verify, thru an Excel-odbc query, that a record has indeed been created in the ShipMisc table.
But when you open up the Customer Shipping Entry interface in Vantage, - Header, -Misc Charges, the data in the ShipMisc table is not present in the grid that is presented.

I'm assuming that there is some intermediate procedure going on here, but I am at a loss.

Thanks,
Bill J.

ShipMisc (at least in vantage 8) I believe is for miscellaneous
shipments, which is different than a misc charge.

The ShipMisc table holds the MiscChg value for shipping. I figured out that I need to add the 'Company' field when adding the record to the ShipMisc table
, records add fine now, and values show up in the interface-apparently the ShipMisc record needs to be 'company specific' in order to show up in the input grid.
